Watering The Garden ~ Sentimental Sundays # 66

Sunday, July 31, 2011
Happy Sunday Scrappy Friends,

If you realize...I've missed a couple post for Week In The Life 2011 project and was late posting for Sentimental Sundays. I had a busy weekend. Between Saturday and Sunday..I worked 35 hours {2 overnights}.
I'm just so tired right now....

Anyhow...
This week challenge over at Sentimental Sundays is about Garden Party.
And here's my creation,

Some close ups,

Miss Phoebe loves watering the garden this Summer and I'm so glad to capture those moments on a Scrapbook layout.

On this project ~ I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursday, and the patterned papers are from Echo Park Sweet Summertime. I also added a digi image called a little birdie told me from Robyn's Fetish. And for the sentiment, I used the dollar stamp from Michaels. It says, "Remember to stop and smell the flowers".

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join the fun by playing along with Sentimental Sundays.
Have a great week.

Tenny's WITL 2011 ~ Thursday

Friday, July 29, 2011
This my Thursday Pictures for Week In The Life 2011 Project.

Play Times

What better place to nap than couch

Hugs,

Strawberries Picking

Recently, I discover a really cool monthly challenge over at Two Peas In A Bucket.
The challenge is called 4x6 Photos Love.
I was very excited, because I don't usually use 4x6 size of pictures on my layouts. I always size it down. So, this challenge sounds so interesting and FUN.

So, here's my layout for June challenge. It means 6 ~ 4x6 pictures in 2 pages layout.

Those pictures were taken on Fathers' Day.
We celebrated that special event by going Strawberries Picking. It's our first time and it's tons of FUN.

The papers I used are from Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.

Thursday, July 28, 2011
Here's my Week In The Life 2011 Project for Wednesday, July 27, 2011.

Getting cozy while watching Sesame Street.

Going to pick up Papa at work and drop off Mama at work.
Dustin was so tired and fell asleep.

The next few pictures were taken at Applebee's.
After hubby and kiddos picked me up from work, we decided to get some late snack
at nearby Applebee's

Both kids wanted to sit with me, because they said they missed me :D

The little version of me, Miss Phoebe

Hubby, Leo, with his chicken wings. They're only 39 cents a piece. LOL :D

And that's the end of Wednesday. See you again soon.

A bit about the card. The Koi image I used is from GingerLoft and I colored it using my brand new prismacolor pencils {yay...:D just in case you're wondering...before I used RoseArt colored pencils to color my images}.
Now about the background ~ one day my hubby came home from work and brought a big package. And all I cared about was the long bubble wrap :D So, for this background...I painted a bubble wrap and applied it on a white cardstock.

Summer Mini Album ~ Smash Style

Tuesday, July 26, 2011
Hi scrappy friends,

I bet {by now} you must have heard the popularity of Smash Books by K&Company....and maybe you already owned one of them.

Well, I LOVE the whole ideas of smash book. I think it's creative and FUN.
So, when I received my first DT assignment from Simple Scrapper to make a DIY Smash Book...I was super excited.

Here's my version of Smash Book - Summer Mini Album

This simple and fun Summer Mini Album cost me nothing, not even a penny. I used all scraps and supplies I have and I LOVE LOVE how it turned out. It's a working progress...

I consider this as a mobile album. I can carry it with me anywhere and simply just add this and that. FUN right?

Now...I will show you all the pages. Ready? It's a lot...but I hope you enjoy it.

On this project, the patterned papers I used are from Echo Parks Dots & Stripes which I already have in my stash. I also added some note cards for journaling, coin envelopes and some tags.
Last but not least the cover is from corrugated cardboard.

I can see myself adding some more pages to this album...because Summer isn't over yet :D

Well...that's for today.
I hope you're having a wonderful and FUN Summer despite the hot and humid {and some heat waves} weather.

Home Sweet Home Layout ~ The Robin's Nest DT Project

Monday, July 25, 2011
Happy Monday Scrappers,
Today it's my turn to share The Robin's Nest project with you.

I have a scrapbook layout that I had been wanting to make and finally did it. It's a layout about our {current} home. Are you ready to see it?

Here it is,

It's a simple but bright, glittery and shinny scrapbook layout.

First, lets talk about the flowers. Those beautiful flowers were made from glitter chipboard. I used the gold and Rebellious Red colors. I LOVE these chipboards and I believe you will too. I cut them using a sizzix die {flower #5}, and then curled them using the bottom of my sharpie marker. Lastly, I added Fairy Dust  dew drops on the center of the flowers.
Here's a little close up,

Now, I'll be sharing with you how I made those swirls. It's fun and the result is just gorgeous. If you like blings on your layout...then you will love this technique.
First, after I glued down my flower, I then drew a simple swirl {doodle} on my layout {using a pencil}. Here's the picture,

The next step is to glue the dew drops one by one using the dew drop glue. On this layout, I used Flame dew drops.

So, what do you think? FUN right? and I guarantee that your layout will look beautiful.

The pattern papers that I used on this project are: Distressed Honeycomb and Dark Distressed Red.
Last but not least I used Red Glitter Letters for the title.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to check The Robin's Nest Blog for more great projects.
I wish you all a wonderful week.
Happy Scrapping.

Three Of Us Layout ~ Simple Scrapper July Layout

Tuesday, July 19, 2011
Hi again scrappers,

This post is my first blog post as a  Simple Scrapper Design Team Member. And today, I'll be sharing a scrapbook layout using one of July Templates that Jennifer has created.

So, here it is.....

I kept it very simple and I'm so happy that way this layout turned out.
The fun part when I was making this layout was those swirl pearls. I used liquid pearls instead of store bought pearls. It was my very first try and I JUST LOVE it! I think I'm gonna get more in many different colors.

To see more scrapbook layouts and projects from other designers, check out thr Simple Scrapper {Free} Forum.

Well....That's all from me today.
Hope you have a wonderful and {cool} day {it's been super HOT and Humid here}.
Take Care. Hugs,

Walking Together Layout ~ SEM Challenge # 4

Monday, July 18, 2011
Hi Scrappers,

Today..I'll be sharing with you a scrapbook layout that I made for a challenge over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles Blog. And this the second challenge for the month.

Here's the idea for the challenge and the scrap twist:

God can use anything or anyone to comfort you, teach you something new or remind you of something you already know. Very often, music is a powerful way He can communicate with us. Create a layout using a song or song lyric that He has used for such a purpose.

Scrap twist: Use fabric somewhere, somehow on your project.

I, personally, love song inspired challenge. And this time..it didn't take me very long to find a song and a picture to scrap.

I chose the old {and beautiful} hymn, titled "He Leadeth Me".
I LOVE to hear this song played/sung.
I LOVE to sing this song.
I LOVE to play this song on the piano.
The lyrics just give me an insurance that God is always there to lead my daily life.
{To listen or sing along to this song, click HERE.

Then, I found the picture of me and Dustin walking together hand in hand by the lake. It was a beautiful spring day..and I LOVE this picture. It's like a promise to my son that I will help him lead the way {of life}.

So...with all that being said, here's my inspiration layout as a July Guest Designer for Scrapping Everyday Miracles  Challenge # 4.

On this layout, I used a strip of burlap and crinkled ribbon {from Paper Loves Glue} for the scrap twist. And those circles...I used the top and bottom of {finished} toilet paper and inked it.

Well, I hope you can play along with this FUN challenge, and remember there are cool prizes that you can win it too.

Thank you so much for taking you time visiting my blog.
Happy Monday and Happy Week.
