The Numbers Layout

Monday, November 14, 2011
Hi and Happy Monday Scrappers,

I did a little organizing in my scraproom a few days ago and found a layout kit that I put together. I did this a while ago and not sure why I didn't finish the project.
Anyway...I finally finished it and wanted to share. So, here it is...

These pictures were taken almost  5 years ago when Dustin was born.
I titled this "The Numbers" because it's all represent special digits about him, like ~ the time, the weight and the day he was born.

I used the older kit collection from Close To My Heart called You Rock. If you noticed the sticker on the bottom ~ The Baby Fact ~ I bought that since I was still pregnant with him.

I'm just happy that I finally did the layout :D
His fifth birthday is coming up in a few month...and I think I need to catching up with him or I will never finish his scrapbook album.

Well...I guess I will see you all soon.
Have a great week.

Unforgettable Layout

Wednesday, May 18, 2011
Hello and welcome to SP & Company Design Team Wednesday.

Every Wednesday, my fellow SP & Company designers and I will be sharing some inspirations with you all. So, be sure to visit all the designers' blog. For the complete list, you can find it HERE.

So today, I'm going to share a Scrapbook layout.
Here it is,

When I finished making this layout, I knew something was missing. So, I decided to add borders to the whole layout. Right away, I took SP & Company Scripty Script Stamp and stamped it all around. Then I distressed the edges and inked it.

Scripty Script Stamp Set is one of my favorite stamp sets. It's a background stamp and it's very useful. I think it's a must have stamp. :D

The pictures for this project were taken Winter 2009. Phoebe was only 3 months old, and she loved her soft and cute winter coat. I just LOVE these pictures.
I used a sketch from Sketch Inspiration # 219 when making this layout.

Well, that's all for today.
Thanks for visiting...I hope to see you soon.
Happy Scrapping. Hugs,

Laugh Layout

Thursday, May 5, 2011
Doilies are HOT in the scrapping/crafting world these days. Seriously, a few months back...I didn't really know what doilies are {LOL}. And now....I have quite a few of them in my scrapping stash.
I have seen so many scrappers and artists use doilies in lots of creative ways, and today...I had a chance to play with it.

I was pretty excited when I saw Creative Scrappers sketch # 154...and I knew right away that I have to play along. Here's the sketch.

And here's my layout.

I decided not to use the real doilies on this layout. Instead I used stamped images from {My Minds Eye} the new Stella and Rose stamp. Love those doilies stamps, and I had tons of fun using it.
I also splattered some acrylic paints on the card stock to give a fun look.

The pictures are my son, Dustin, and my hubby, Leo. Dustin was just a few months old when these pictures were taken. Today, he's 4 years old. Oh goodness....time flies really fast. I love these photos so much.

Some closer looks on the layout.

The alphabets for the title were pretty boring. The color was just blue. So, I stamped some images using SP&Company Scripty Scripts Stamp, and it turned out really good {so much better too}.

Anyway..hope you enjoy this layout.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.
Take care. Hugs,

Silly Girl Layout

Thursday, March 31, 2011
Just wanted to share a quick post....
I finished another layout this afternoon. This time is about my daughter.
I had so much fun using these colors and made the flowers.
So, here it is.....:D

Just some closer looks on the title and my handmade flowers {nothing really special...just fun flowers}

The paper collection I used on this layout was from Close To My Heart called More to Adore. It's just gorgeous. Already distressed and again love the color palette.
That's it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by.
I'll see you all again soon.
Hugs,

A Star was Born Layout

Wednesday, February 9, 2011
I have a dirty little secret that I'd like to admit to all of you. I'm not sure if I should...but I think after admitting this..I hope to become a better scrapbooker. Ok...are you ready...???

I just started an album for my children. Seriously...I just started making pages about the days they were born. My son is 4 and my daughter is 2.  I'm so late and behind. Will I ever get this album done..? I hope so. A few days ago, I decided to take a challenge to finish 100 LOs by the end of the year. That's a lot!!!
I'm a crafter, meaning I do other crafty things, not just scrapbooking...So, I'm crossing my fingers that I will be able to make 100 layouts.

Anyway, today I'm going to share a layout that I just finished. It's about the day my son was born.
I called this layout "A Star Was Born". Of course, he's a star in our family :D
I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursday Challenge blog.

A little bit about this artwork -- The paper collection I used is from Close To My Heart called You Rock {Too bad it's already expired  retired}. I used a multi-colored emboss technique on the big star image and added Stardust Stickles. The Chipboard letters are from Making Memories and I dabbed multi-color inks, also added stickles. Letter stickers are Tiny Type from Cosmo Cricket.  Laces are from Hobby Lobby. And the blings -- the circle one is from Close To My Heart, and the big ones are from Michaels' dollar bin.

Well...I have 99 more layouts to go. Wish me luck :D
I hope to see you all soon. Be sure to come back often...and check out more layouts.
Take Care.

Whoo Loves You

Thursday, July 8, 2010
I was feeling creative last week, so I tried something new. Something that I had never done before. I made an Easel Card. At first, I thought it's going to be so complicated....but it's not. I totally had fun making this, and definitely will make more.

This card is measured 4.5 x 4.5. I'm using Close To My Heart Veranda paper pack and Whoo Loves You stamp set. I have this stamp set for awhile and always wanted to use it ~ I was just waiting for the right moment :D

What do you think?

You're A Star

Tuesday, May 18, 2010
Last week, I was in the mood of making of a Graduation card. It's that time again, when some of us are celebrating loved ones graduation. This card helps honor the graduates by telling them that they are the stars. A simple yet very colorful card highlights their success and achievements.

Then, a few days later, I made a matching Gift Card holder/Money Pocket.

So, here's the whole You're A Star handmade package.

FYI: I made the envelope too. I don't have any 6x6 envelope on hand, so I gotta made one.

This is really a fun project to make, and I had a great time creating it.

Thanks for stopping by,

Easter Caboodle

Wednesday, March 31, 2010
One of things that I'm really thankful for in life is COLORI love all kind of colors...pastel, bright,or basic. I couldn't imagine how my life would be without it.

This spring...I fell in love with Close To My Heart paper packs, especially this Caboodle kit. It features bright and beautiful color combination.

So, I decided to do some Easter projects using this kit.

And here's my Easter basket,
before I put some goodies.

With the goodies.

This basket is so easy to make, and so economical. I used half a sheet of pattern paper and half a sheet of cardstock. How about that...???

If you still looking for DIY Easter projects to share with your children's friends/playgroups, this basket might just do it. Feel free to email me with any questions.

Well, I gotta go and make something else. Check me back later....
